OK... I know this started out as a blog on living in Montana but... I needed a place to put my 101 in 1001 list so it's going here.
The idea behind 101 in 1001 is that you meet 101 goals/do 101 tasks in 1001 days. My start date is today (August 12, 2006) and my ending date is May 9, 2009. Adding to the fun of this is the promise that for every goal I do not complete, I will put $1 in my changejar on WhatGoesAround.Org donate $1 to the Heifer Project.
That way, I have some incentive to accomplish all this and there's a
benefit to the world for those things that I don't do.
So here are my goals/tasks:
001. Do some letterboxing.
002. Camp at least 5 times.
003. Visit the 5 biggest cities in Montana.
004. Plant a garden.
005. Enter some of my crocheting in the fair and win a prize.
006. Visit a Hutterite colony.
007. Learn to cook healthier meals from scratch.
008. Go combining during harvest.
009. Visit Glacier National Park.
010. Spend Holy Week in Canada with Tabatha.
011. Discipline myself to write in a paper journal daily for at least a month.
012. Do something like canoe or float on the Missouri River.
013. Learn to sew by machine.
014. Learn to knit.
015. Ski Showdown
016. Create my own WP template.
017. Perform a sacred classical work with an ensemble.
018. Figure out what to do for grad school.
019. Participate in NaNoWriMo.
020. Spend a week at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp.
021. Finish the tank top and bolero jacket crocheting projects from SnB Crochet.
022. Be the accompanist for a church service.
023. Get my French back up to fluency.
024. Make at least 3 outfits of my own from scratch.
025. Read "Reading Lolita in Tehran".
026. Read "The Kite Runner".
027. Read "The Devil Wears Prada".
028. Get an IPod.
029. Call-in on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.
030. Raise at least $500 blogging solo for a charity during the Blogathon.
031. Volunteer at a Planned Parenthood clinic.
032. Do some kind of mission work.
033. Write a Confirmation curriculum and a Sunday school curriculum.
034. Read the Bible from cover to cover.
035. Make bandages for Global Health Ministries.
036. Earn some money doing webdesign.
037. Figure out Photoshop.
038. Make baby caps for Global Health Ministries.
039. Have a child.
040. Sort through my boxes of papers.
041. Host a formal dinner.
042. Read to kids at an elementary school.
043. Give a lecture to a college/university group.
044. Read the collected works of C.S. Lewis.
045. Re-read all the Babysitter's Club books.
046. Read all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.
047. Go on a picnic.
048. Visit and play at a waterpark.
049. Enter a photograph in the fair and win a prize.
050. Acquire 4 pieces of UCSC apparel.
051. Acquire college apparel from the local college team.
052. Acquire apparel from the local high school team(s).
053. Hyphenate my name.
054. Acquire a "work wardrobe".
055. Actually separate my winter clothes from my spring clothes.
056. Help with a youth retreat.
057. Go snorkelling or SCUBA diving.
058. Visit Alaska.
059. Submit an article to Wikipedia.
060. Cook a 3 course meal over a campfire.
061. Send a care package via AnySoldier.Com.
062. See all the LOTR movies.
063. Watch The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
064. Serve on a jury.
065. Get the cats caught up on their shots.
